Five Ways You Can Decorate Your Pergola for Fall

Fall is right around the corner, and you may not have had fall decorating on your conscience. But if you have a pergola that has dead plants around it, fear not because there’s still time to get ready for the season. For those who don’t own a pergola, you still have time to have one installed before the fall festivities begin. Whether you own a pergola or aspire to have one, see how you can decorate yours for the fall.

Five Ways You Can Decorate Your Pergola for Fall

Whether you own a pergola or aspire to have one, see how you can decorate yours for the fall.

Jack-o-Lantern Theme

Halloween is closer than you think, and now is the time to get your pergola ready for this holiday. You can decorate your pergola with jack-o-lanterns, bats, and crows to send an ominous vibe to everyone who sees it.

Gourds, Pumpkins, and Leaves

The leaves that have just changed color for the fall work wonderfully with the colors of pumpkins and fall gourds. Use a wide variety and place them along the corners of your pergola to give it that autumn vibe.

Go With Mums

Mums are a hardy type of plant, and they come in many different colors ranging from orange and yellow to white and purple. There are a few ways you can arrange mums in your pergola. You can either have containers around the base of the pergola or, for added flavor, you can put your mums inside hanging planters. No matter how you use mums, they’ll be sure to add to the appeal of your pergola and make it the centerpiece of your outdoor landscape.

Gilded Leaves & Branches

You can add some extra bling to your pergola by adding leaves or branches painted in metallic gold and silver coloring. You’ll want to hang any leaves you have from the top beams of it, then attach the branches to the support columns. This will help your pergola achieve that glowing, sparkling effect that you want.

Light It Up

You can’t go wrong with adding some lights to your pergola to make it warmer and more inviting. With fall right around the corner, you could opt for autumnal-colored bulbs such as red, orange, and yellow to help bring in the new season. Having lights will also give more utility to it, especially as daylight savings comes to a close, resulting in more time to make use of your new lights.
